HMGMA Invests $150,000 in United Way to Serve Coastal Georgia Families
Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) is reinforcing its deep commitment to the coastal Georgia region with a $150,000 donation to two United Way chapters that serve as critical safety nets for families and individuals in crisis.
The donation includes $100,000 to United Way of the Coastal Empire and $50,000 to United Way of Southeast Georgia. Hyundai and HMGMA first partnered with United Way during groundbreaking on the Bryan County plant in 2022 and have continued to support the United Way’s mission.
“The United Way plays an essential role in connecting those in need with critical resources and support, especially during difficult times” said HMGMA Chief Administrative Officer Brent Stubbs. “This contribution reflects our strong commitment to being a good neighbor and investing in the communities where Meta Pros and their families live, work and thrive. We’re grateful for the impact United Way and its nonprofit partners make every day across our region.”
The announcement was made during a news conference today on the manufacturing floor of HMGMA’s state-of-the-art electrified vehicle plant in Bryan County. Board members and leadership from United Way of the Coastal Empire and United Way of Southeast Georgia were in attendance to celebrate the occasion and speak to the impact the investment will have on strengthening the communities they serve.
“Building a stronger Coastal Empire starts with coming together to ensure children and families have the resources and opportunities they need to thrive,” said Kimberly Waller, president and CEO of United Way of the Coastal Empire. “We are grateful to Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America for their investment in our community and their commitment to helping make that future possible for all families.”
“When businesses invest in their communities, they invest in the people, families and future that make those communities special,” said Carey Cassedy, Executive Director of United Way of Southeast Georgia. “HMGMA’s continued generosity reminds us of what’s possible when we come together to create opportunities, strengthen families, and build a brighter future for everyone who calls Southeast Georgia home.”
